Daniel
12:3, “3 Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.”
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.”
Proverbs
11:30, “30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
And he who wins souls is wise.”
And he who wins souls is wise.”
James
5:20, “20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of
his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.”
The scriptures are very simple and straightforward
we are taught that as a Christian we should desire to reach the lost for Jesus
and by doing so save them from the punishment of Hell. But these three
scriptures show us a how we are to do it and that it requires righteousness of
the one who is leading the other out of that darkness. Many of us desire to see
lost loved ones saved after we have been given our own salvation but it requires we
stop living the life we had and begin a new one with God at the center of it.
Each person you meet during your day is creates an impression of who you are. What
sort of person are they seeing? Are you the same on Monday through Saturday as
you are on Sunday or are these two different lives that never reach into one
another. Being double minded only leads to confusion and in the end will lead
to judgment of not only your soul but those you may have led astray because you
were not faithful to God and righteousness was not found in you. Scripture
tells us in James that you cannot get both fresh water and salt water from the
same spring. Are you living your life that way? If so a pray God convicts you
and guides you to a place of righteousness so He can begin to use you in a way
that even you will be surprised by. For if you desire to serve God than you
must begin to live for him, the old person you once where is now dead. Leave them
behind and start a new walk in the blessings God has for you. Let us each be
about leading souls that is to be our main purpose in our new lives. Have a
blessed day in the Lord may His glory shine wherever you are today.
