Spiritual warriors
2 Corinthians 10:1-6,
“ 1 Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and
gentleness of Christ—who in presence am lowly among you, but being
absent am bold toward you. 2 But I beg you that
when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to
be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war
according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our
warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that
exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into
captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being
ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.”
I wanted to remind you that we are always in a constant
battle for our lives and those we love. If we are walking with God we need to
understand the power that is available to us if we are just willing to call upon
it. Now it’s not like the power you might see if you were a cartoon superhero.
If you remember the Justice League there was a set of twins’ a brother and
sister they had super power but often they ended up in more trouble from them
than it ever really helped them. That was because they never knew really how to
use it. Are power from God is very similar it is always present but because we
fail to practice it and apply it in our own lives we are unable to use it for
the good of others. I have begun to really understand the phrase, “Ministry Starts
at Home” for us a Christians to be effective we must be practicing what we
believe. That means prayer, bible
reading, fasting and fellowship as we develop some of those spiritual and
physical patterns in our life we will become the warriors that God has called
us to be and in His power we will be equipped to pull down our own strongholds
and also those around us. This will allow you to lead them into a relationship
that is not just a Sunday morning thing but a life changing relationship with
Jesus Christ. Praying God bless your every step today.
