Prayer in the Dark

1 A song of ascents. Praise the Lord, all you servants of the Lord who minister by night in the house of the Lord. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord. 3 May the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth, bless you from Zion.

Psalm 134:1-3(ESV)

Just want to tell you that God is so good and He is always present in our lives. I was reading this Psalm yesterday and thought how much it applied to what is going on in my home church and many other churches around the country. We have entered into a time of prayer everyday at 7:00 pm. We have seen God really moving in these services and the others churches are experiencing the same thing. That is why I originally liked this Psalm it was a confirmation that we are doing the right thing and God has promised to bless us for it. Then yesterday my mind kept going back to this Psalm. You know throughout scripture we see darkness and night as times of struggle and trial. And it came to me that God is still there with us. We are as born again Christians the temple of the living God. In this line of thought this Psalm tells us that as we suffer through the trials in our life if we will persist in our worship of God even in the darkest of times; He has promised to be by our side as we praise Him in our dark times. Have a blessed day as you walk in the light of God's Word.
