We all have value!

Genesis 1:27, “27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”

Genesis 2:7, “7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”

I was working on homework and was answering this question, “Disciples are created in the image of God, yet fallen and choosing to learn.” You know we often wonder why we are here. And that is what this question asks. When God took the extra time to mold man out of the dirt it was a person act of love for us. He could have created us as he did everything else just by speaking it into existence. Instead we see he took the time to work on us. And then he invested in us the breath of life. It is my opinion that at that point He placed a small bit of himself into our lives. That is just my opinion. If that is true it brings understanding to the statement we all have a God shaped hole. The thing I understands is that we are all born with a sinful nature. This is so dominate that many times we are not able to withstand it and we allow it to take control. Scripture tells us that, “no man can come to Jesus lest the Father sends them.” God has a presence in every life that is evident in the fact that we are all created in His image. No matter race, creed or sex God is responsible for our creation. But He is a gentleman and does not desire for you to love him by force so He holds restraint on the Spirit until we seek to know Him. Sometimes that never occurs. I want you to understand every person you meet know matter what sin you may see them living in has value in God’s eyes and as believers in Jesus they should also have value to us. We must desire to live a life so full that it awakens that spirit that god has place in each of us. It is a choice for us how we will live each day and whom we will serve. I chose to follow Jesus and the Holy Spirit as I walk and draw closer to God. May your day be full of God’s blessing.
