Partnering With Jesus

4 I always thank my God for you and for the gracious gifts he has given you, now that you belong to Christ Jesus.5 Through him, God has enriched your church in every way—with all of your eloquent words and all of your knowledge.6 This confirms that what I told you about Christ is true.7 Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.8 He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.9 God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 1:4-9 (NLT)

This is a greeting and blessing from Paul to those who were in Corinth. It is also meant for each of us as believers today, because each of us is waiting on Jesus to return. You know Paul was a man who had three things in His favor as he shared his faith with those around him. He had Hope, Assurance and Confidence in what he believed in; I believe that is why he could so boldly make the statements and promises we read here. He knew in whom he believed; in that love he had received, through the grace given Him in Damascus. God reached down and turned his heart to Jesus. He knows that the love of God comes with an assurance of salvation that as the spirit leads it is an outward sign to those who are lost, while we await the coming return of Jesus. He had confidence that Jesus would be true to His word and the word of His father found in the scriptures. That is why He could so boldly declare the love of God to others. Knowing Jesus to be faithful and true Paul was unafraid of what this world could do and he was thankful for each and every brother and sister that turned and gave their lives over to His Jesus.

Do you have that sort of confidence in your walk with Jesus? Are you assured that you are blessed each day? Where does your hope lay? Do you trust in mankind and this world to save you or are you believing and trusting in Jesus? Is it not time you changed partners what has the world really brought you except more of the same. A life lived in obedience to God’s world is so much more than anything this world has to offer. I challenge you to dig into his word change your focus look to Jesus. He will enter in with you and change everything you thought you knew. Have a blessed day as you walk in the light of God’s Word.
