Wisdom Brings Strength

Wisdom Brings Strength

3 So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:3 (NLT)

I am not getting in to predestination or any of that argument I am sticking with what scripture says and using the vocabulary that we are reading as I share today. I want us to understand God calls all of us into relationship with Him; we chose if and when we will answer. You see your walk with Jesus is your choice He has offered you salvation through His sacrifice; we have to choose to believe it and we cannot do that unless we allow the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us. Now let me share what God has for us today.

24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.25 This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.

1 Corinthians 1:24-25 (NLT)

The book of Corinthians opens speaking about wisdom and foolishness. When you will be honest the whole concept or idea of the cross could be one of the most foolish things anyone person could have come up with as a way to bring salvation to someone. From our Human perspective some people would call it lunacy and that is why so many people scoff at the ideas not just of salvation but of most biblical truth. People no longer worry about the age old question. If I died today would I be; in heaven or hell? Many a human being has tried to create heaven on earth even if it was just for a select few no one has yet succeeded and no one ever will. I think we are pretty good and creating a sample of Hell; but we are nowhere near what that experience will be either. To be honest because the plan of salvation is so simple; our human brains cannot accept it. The idea that through the death of one man we can look forward to life eternal is just too simple for the world we live in today. It is because we know longer believe that sin entered the world because one man fell into it. We have to look beyond our own understanding and allow the Holy Spirit His place so He can lead us into understanding. Proverbs3:-20 tell us that God created everything in wisdom:

19 By wisdom the LORD laid the earth’s foundations,
by understanding he set the heavens in place;
20 by his knowledge the watery depths were divided,
and the clouds let drop the dew.

The creation works as God created it. We do not understand all of it but we see and believe it to be real, Salvation is the same way. Allow wisdom her place in your life; she will lead you to know and understand God’s plan for your life. In that understanding God will provide the strength to walk with Him as he has placed a candle to your feet in His Holy Word. Have a truly blessed day.
